About me

Welcome.
My name is Jessica Benenati and I’m a U.S.-trained mental health therapist and NIP-registered psychologist with over 15 years of experience in private practice, working with adults from diverse backgrounds.
Adjusting to life in a new country can bring unique challenges—feeling disconnected, navigating cultural differences, managing stress or uncertainty, or simply missing the sense of “home.” You don’t have to navigate that alone. I also understand that accessing mental health care here can involve long waiting lists within the traditional system. My goal is to offer a supportive, accessible alternative so you can begin sooner—without sacrificing quality or depth of care.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply validating. Clients often share that they feel genuinely seen and understood in our work together. I integrate tools from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness practices, and neuroscience-informed psychoeducation to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns—and to build practical skills that support meaningful, lasting change.
While I have particular experience supporting anxiety, trauma, and neurodivergence, I welcome a wide range of concerns. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply looking for a space to process and grow, we’ll tailor our work to fit your unique needs and goals.
I’m especially attuned to the ways we adapt and cope—often in ways that once made sense but may no longer serve us. Together, we gently explore what’s underneath those patterns and create space for clarity, resilience, and self-compassion.
I’m deeply interested in the mind-body connection and the power of our thoughts—not just in how they influence how we feel, but in how they shape the lives we create.
I believe healing is possible, and that you already hold the capacity for change. My role is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with that inner strength.
